Worship & Music Ministries

We have a very active Music Ministry at First Christian Church! It includes our Sunday morning worship teams, choirs, and special groups, but also encompasses our full-set, dramatic Christmas and Easter musicals. If you have a love for music, there is a place for you in our Music Ministry. Here are some of the areas of service we have to offer:

Celebration Choir

Choir plays an important role in our weekly worship services, major productions and special music. We present a variety of music during the year in the belief that music is a tool with which we worship God. Reading music is not a requirement for membership, however, a heart for service through music ministry is! We rehearse on SUNDAY evenings at 6:00 p.m., from August through May. Come and try us out!

Rock of Age's

This unique senior adult choir is directed by ROBIN ZIEGENFUSS. Their catchy music and smiling faces will keep your toes tapping! This group sings for special area events and morning worship. They practice on Thursday afternoons at 2:00 during the fall, winter and spring.

Kidz Kwoir

Children in kindergarten through 5th grade enjoy working on special music and on children's musicals each year. This group is directed by Paula Erickson and Erin Ruis.

One Voice

The beautiful voices

of this ladies ensemble perform once a quarter in all three worship services.

Praise and Worship Teams / Praise Band

Musicians in the praise teams are chosen by audition. This group meets on Thursday evenings. Participants in this group typically sing once or twice a month. Instrumentalists, which includes people who play saxophone, violin, electric bass, guitar, percussion, piano and synthesizer, also participate on a rotating basis.

Staged Reactions

Staged Reactions is our drama troupe. They support morning worship services by presenting skits and dramatic interpretations that tie in with the morning theme and sermon topic. This group is directed by Jodi Jones.
