Dave grew up a "preacher's kid" in Erie, Illinois. Since he first felt called to ministry, he has preached in many different churches, at retreats, camps, state and national conventions and multiple special events throughout the United States. In August of 1993, Dave became our full-time preaching minister and leader of our pastoral staff. Dave enjoys indoor and outdoor sports, playing his guitar, and spending time with his children. He and his wife, Paula, have four children: Luke, Brady, Jaclyn, and Leah. |

Jerry Hopkins, Administrative Pastor Jerry and his wife, Melody, have two married children, Jeremy and Mindy, both of whom are involved in vocational ministry. They have four grandsons and two granddaughters. Jerry enjoys golf, home construction projects and keeping up on the ever-changing world of computer technology. A graduate of Nebraska Christian College and Kentucky Christian College, Jerry served as a preaching pastor in southwest Nebraska and as an administrator at his alma mater. When he joined the staff of FCC in July of 2002, it also marked the return to his home state of Iowa. His heart's desire is to welcome new people to the church and encourage everyone in their spiritual growth, discipleship, fellowship, and service. |

Dave Fremstad, Family Life Pastor Dave is married to Dori (since 1992), and they have a son (Joshua) and a daughter (Sarah). Dave came to know the Lord while serving as a machine gunner in the United States Marine Corps. He is a graduate of Crossroads College (B.A.) and Lincoln Christian Seminary (M.A.). Most recently Dave served as Senior Pastor of Roxbury Road Church of Christ in Janesville, WI before joining the staff of First Christian. Dave has a passion for God, His Word, and strives to live a life of prayer. Dave enjoys playing guitar (especially bluegrass), reading (history and biographies), talking long walks, and spending time with the family. |

Robin Ziegenfuss, Worship and Music Robin comes to us from First Christian Church in Derby, Kansas, where he was worship leader and choir director from January 1987 until joining our staff at FCC in August of 2002. He also taught music in the Derby Public Schools from 1981 until June of 2000. Robin graduated from the Institute for Worship Studies in Jacksonville, Florida with a doctorate in worship studies. Robin, and his wife Janelle, have three children, Brynn, Cameron, and Kara. |

Gary Davis, Student Ministries Gary and his wife Lisa have three children, Courtney, Dustin and Dylan. A 1985 graduate of Nebraska Christian College, Gary served as Student Minister at First Christian Church in Hugoton, Kansas prior to joining the staff in the fall of 1990. Gary's passion for relevant and creative Student Ministry has kept him at the forefront of helping students connect, grow and serve for over 20 years. |

Jean Provines, Senior Adult Ministries Jean Provines is our Minister of Senior Adults. Jean is a graduate of Lincoln Christian College and has been ordained by First Christian Church into Senior Adult Ministry and Pastoral Care Ministry. She and her husband Jack have two grown children: Christy and Micah. Jean teaches the "Evergreen" Bible School class on Sunday mornings, teaches several Bible studies, drives the church bus and takes our seniors on fun and interesting outings and also leads a women's circle. She is also a novice ventriloquist. Her "buddy" is a fellow named "Clark." Clark sometimes goes along when Jean visits our homebound members. Matt Beckner, Children's Ministries Matt joined the FCC staff in March of 2003. He graduated from Nebraska Christian College in Norfolk, Nebraska, and joined First Christian after serving in a four-year ministry in New London, Iowa. Matt grew up in Council Bluffs and attended First Christian Church. He passionately believes that childhood is the prime time for individuals to make the life-changing commitment to follow Jesus. Matt enjoys finding fresh, creative, and culturally-relevant ways to help children connect, grow, and serve God. In his free time, Matt enjoys playing guitar and hunting. He and his wife Kristina have two daughters, Morgan and Kendra. |

Sarah Kaelin, Associate Children's Sarah grew up in the plains of central Nebraska. She enjoys camping, cooking, playing volleyball and children. Sarah attended Nebraska Christian College (2002-2007) where she earned a Bachelors Degree in Christian Education. She joined the First Christian Church staff in June 2007 after completing a yearlong internship in First Christian's Children’s Ministries. Sarah believes she has been given favor with kids and loves sharing God’s Word with them. She has a passion for God’s Kingdom and His Bride, the Church. She enjoys helping others in any way, but especially in their spiritual journey. Her greatest joy is watching God do His work in and among His people. |

Jonathan Miller, Associate Worship Born and raised in Minnesota, Jonathan joined the First Christian Church staff as a full-time member in the summer of 2007 following a yearlong internship that began in 2006. He is a graduate of Crossroads College (formerly Minnesota Bible College) where he majored in Music and Counseling/Psychology. Since his college career, Jonathan has felt a strong pull toward serving in music ministry and continues to seek God's direction for his life. In his spare time he enjoys fishing, frisbee golf and the constant pursuit of electric guitar gear. |
